Indonesian Flavors, California Love

ChiliCali, owned and operated by Chef Siska Silitonga, has been delighting the SF Bay Area with Indonesian-inspired cuisine since 2015. Chef Siska has curated a culinary journey through various projects, including pop-up dinners, pantry products, catering, a food truck, and the acclaimed modern Indonesian restaurant bearing her name.

Warung Siska, the restaurant named in her honor (meaning Siska's small restaurant), received a notable mention in the Michelin Guide 2021, a prestigious accolade shared by only 9 other Indonesian restaurants worldwide. Notably, her jarred sambal sauce (Indonesian hot sauce) earned the 2019 Good Food Awards in the Pantry category and is now available on Goodeggs.com and local Safeways.

Before establishing her restaurant, Chef Siska pioneered her Indonesian food concept by teaming up with Off The Grid, serving daily lunches to hundreds of Google employees using a food truck. Unfortunately, Warung Siska closed earlier this year due to the pandemic.

ChiliCali embodies Chef Siska's culinary prowess, featuring the dishes she cooks, sauces she jars, and recipes she passionately crafts—all reflecting her dual roots in Indonesia and California. Raised in a culture that values locally sourced and sustainable ingredients, Siska is committed to bringing this ethos to her culinary creations.

Her culinary journey began at a young age alongside her mother and mentor, a chef in Jakarta. Transplanting her talent and passion to the SF Bay Area, Siska has become a proud Indonesian food ambassador, aiming to uplift her community and foster greater awareness of Indonesian food and culture in the Bay Area and beyond.
